Fortune Entrepreneur is an NCDF Foundation entrepreneurship development programme designed to help participants develop their own businesses through practical learning, mentoring and business exposure.
The proposed pilot is for adults exploring an idea, testing an offer or improving an early venture. The eligibility page explains the requirements and what we look for in an application.
The initial focus is the United States, United Kingdom, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. Availability is confirmed country by country. Check the current status before applying.
Neither a university degree nor an incorporated company is required for the proposed pilot. You should be able to explain a business interest, the people you want to serve and what you want to learn.
We actively reach African and diaspora communities. Eligible applicants are assessed against published criteria, including initiative, customer understanding, learning readiness and their ability to participate.
The proposed core runs for twelve weeks, with approximately six to eight hours of weekly learning and work on your own venture. The confirmed schedule will be published with each intake.
The proposed first pilot is intended to have no admission fee. The confirmed fee position will be stated before applications open. Do not pay anyone who promises admission or special access.
No share transfer, equity contribution or ownership payment is required for admission or completion. You retain ownership of your venture and the ideas and materials you bring to the programme.
Programme admission does not guarantee a grant, investment, paid project, employment or income. The main offer is entrepreneurship learning and support for your own venture.
No. Educational participation does not require commercial work for NCDF. Any paid project or employment opportunity is optional and requires a separate appropriate agreement.
The programme’s learning delivery arrangements will be published when confirmed. NCDF Foundation remains responsible for the programme’s purpose and oversight.
Participants who meet the confirmed completion requirements can receive a certificate of completion. This records programme learning and assessment; it is not described as a regulated or accredited qualification.
You may apply if you can meet the published learning commitment. Review the live session timetable and consider how you will make time for practical work on your venture.
Contact the programme team to discuss an access barrier or support request. You do not need to share medical information in the general application form.
