Help an entrepreneur make better decisions

Experience becomes valuable when it helps someone see a problem more clearly and take a practical next step. Fortune Entrepreneur welcomes expressions of interest from professionals and business builders who can offer thoughtful, relevant guidance.

What mentoring involves

You will help a participant examine assumptions, review evidence and identify actions for their own venture. Conversations may cover customers, pricing, marketing, operations, digital tools, leadership or the everyday demands of running a business.

The proposed pilot includes six mentor conversations per participant during the core learning period. The expected commitment, preparation and meeting arrangements will be agreed before you accept a match.

Who we would like to hear from

Founders, operators and specialists with practical experience, a willingness to listen and the capacity to support someone consistently. Experience in African or international markets is welcome. You do not need to be a public figure or a professional speaker.

Mentoring with clear boundaries

Mentors provide guidance and constructive challenge. They do not guarantee investment, sales, work or employment. Programme mentoring must not be used to pressure participants to buy services, share ownership or provide unpaid commercial work.

We ask mentors to declare relevant interests, respect confidentiality and follow the programme’s conduct and support procedures. Any later commercial relationship requires separate review.

How to join

Submit an expression of interest describing your experience and availability. The programme team will review fit, discuss the role and complete appropriate checks before confirming an appointment or match.

The proposed pilot seeks contributed mentoring time. Any paid specialist teaching is a separate arrangement. Submitting this form does not confirm an appointment.
