NCDF Foundation USA is committed to operating as a responsible charitable organisation with appropriate governance, transparency, accountability and compliance. The Foundation’s work must serve charitable, educational and community-development purposes and must remain aligned with public benefit.
The Foundation’s programmes are designed to support youth empowerment, education, cultural heritage, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, employability, community development, social support, diaspora philanthropy and sustainable charitable impact.
NCDF Foundation USA is aligned with the NCDF ecosystem as a philanthropic, educational, cultural and community-development platform. This alignment is intended to support charitable and public-benefit outcomes. The Foundation is not designed to provide private commercial benefit to any individual, founder, related party or affiliated commercial entity.
The Foundation should maintain a clear conflict-of-interest policy to ensure that decisions are made in the best interests of the Foundation and its charitable mission. Any related-party relationships should be disclosed, reviewed and managed appropriately.
Because the Foundation supports young people and families, safeguarding must be central to programme delivery. The Foundation should maintain policies and procedures covering youth protection, volunteer screening, facilitator conduct, reporting concerns, programme supervision, data privacy and safe event delivery.
Donations should be used for charitable purposes consistent with the Foundation’s mission, donor restrictions where applicable and legal requirements. The Foundation should communicate clearly with donors about how funds are used and the impact being created.
